A specialized course "Introduction to training and mentoring program in the field of collection and processing open source intelligence" for officers of analytical units at law enforcement agencies of the Central Asian countries was held in Almaty on 24-27 June 2024.

The event was organized by UNODC jointly with CARICC and the Judicial Cooperation Network for Central Asia and Southern Caucasus (CASC) with financial support from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State (INL).

Theoretical and practical sessions on web data processing, geolocation analysis and image recognition technologies enabled participants to gain relevant skills in the effective use of tools and methodologies in collection and processing of operational information from open sources.
