CARICC takes part in Central and South Asia Border Security Symposium
At invitation of the US Central Command (US CENTCOM) and the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), a CARICC representative participated as an expert in the Central and South Asia Regional Border Security Symposium held in Brno, Czech Republic, from 15 to 19 July 2019.
The symposium was attended by representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan as well as experts from the US FBI, OSCE, Interpol and other international organizations.
The event took the form of targeted plenary sessions, thematic working groups and analytical (staff) exercises.
All students were awarded certificates of a week-long training course following the symposium.
Representatives of the US CENTCOM extended their interest in cooperation and further joint work with CARICC.
