A regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of CARICC Member States was held on 27 March 2025 in Almaty in hybrid format.

The event was attended by representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and CARICC.

During the meeting participants examined report of the interim Committee on results of examination of materials on candidates for vacant position of CARICC Director. Based on the results of discussions, the parties prepared a recommendation to Heads of CARICC Member States on relieving the current CARICC Director and appointing a representative of Uzbekistan to the post of CARICC Director.

Participants of the meeting were informed by the UNODC Regional Office on current funding of CARICC under donor grant. CARICC Director briefed about situation related to financing of the Centre by voluntary contributions. They exchanged views on key aspects of CARICC activities.

At the end of the meeting parties adopted relevant decisions.
