On 8 October 2019, CARICC hosted a working meeting of the Director of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for Combating Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors with the Swedish Police Authority. The meeting was also attended by CARICC employees and heads of units.
During the meeting, the Swedish police delegation was briefed on the goals and objectives under CARICC mandate, results of its work, operations carried out in the region with the active participation and coordination role of CARICC, and initiatives that are expected to be implemented by CARICC in the near future.
In conclusion of the meeting, the sides recognized the importance of strengthening international cooperation in the fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and indicated their intention to enhance cooperation in the future.
