The meeting provided an opportunity for parties to discuss current trends in illicit trafficking of chemicals used in manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and to exchange information on current problems and risks in the Central Asian region.
It placed a special emphasis on strengthening international cooperation, refining information-sharing mechanisms, and coordinating efforts of competent authorities of states in the region.
Participants concluded the talks by expressing willingness to continue cooperation, including through specialized expert events aimed at stepping up precursor control measures and preventing illegal use.
