A meeting between CARICC Director Makhmud Khamidov and Jamshed Khomidzoda, Head of the International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, took place in Dushanbe on 3 November 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting CARICC Director expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for its continued support of the Centre's activities, as well as for assistance in strengthening international and regional cooperation in the field of combating drug trafficking.

During the talks Mr. Khamidov presented a number of proposals aimed at further improving the Centre's effectiveness, including improving its organizational structure and developing new areas of activity, particularly in the field of countering cyber threats and the spread of synthetic drugs.

In turn, Mr. Jamshed Khomidzoda noted CARICC's significant contribution to coordinating counter-narcotics efforts at the regional level, emphasizing its important role as a platform for information exchange and joint decision making. He also reaffirmed willingness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue supporting the Centre's initiatives.

Following the meeting parties agreed to accelerate practical cooperation in a number of priority areas and confirmed mutual interest in further developing and strengthening cooperation between CARICC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
