Delegation of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC) headed by Director Mr. M. Khamidov met with Mr. Gregor Zboralski, Liaison Officer of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Astana on 31 October 2025.

During the meeting CARICC Director informed the German counterpart about the Centre's current efforts and introduced a number of proposals aimed at enhancing its work. Particular attention was paid to the development of new areas of activity, including countering cyber threats and the spread of synthetic drugs.

Assistance was sought in supporting these initiatives and enhancing bilateral cooperation. CARICC staff delivered a presentation on key areas of focus and performance results.

German liaison officer indicated interest in CARICC initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation mechanisms in combating drug trafficking and stated readiness to contribute to their implementation.

The parties discussed prospects for further expanding collaboration, including possible joint counter-narcotics operations, exchange of operational information, and strengthening expert interaction.

In conclusion, the German liaison officer assured to support CARICC activities towards strengthening regional cooperation and was confident in further development of practical cooperation.

The meeting proceeded in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, confirming high level of trust and the parties' determination to deepen partnership in combating illicit drug trafficking.
