CARICC delegation headed by Director A. Yazlyyev took part in the Annual Programme Steering Committee Meeting established under the Project “Strengthening Cross-Border Cooperation” of the UNODC Programme for Central Asia 2022-2025 held in Tashkent on 15-16 August 2024.

CARICC introduced an initiative to create an information and communication system aimed at enabling competent authorities of the CARICC Member States and observers to perform initial checks of information against records of created duplicate objects in CARICC database.

The event also featured a meeting between the CARICC Director and Mr. Oliver Stolpe, newly appointed UNODC Regional Representative for Central Asia.

During the meeting, they discussed the status and prospects of UNODC engagement with CARICC in implementation of joint technical advisory assistance projects for Central Asian countries.
