About the upcoming meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the CARICC Member States

On December 1, 2022, a regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the CARICC Member States will be held on the basis of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors (hereinafter referred to as CARICC).

The leadership of national coordinating bodies and foreign policy departments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of CARICC and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime are planning to attend this event.

During the meeting, it is planned to discuss the development of the drug situation in the CARICC member states, the current state and prospects for the development of CARICC for the coming period, the implementation of the CARICC Development Strategy for 2018-2022, financial stability and other issues of the organizational activities of the Center.

In order to prepare documents for the upcoming meeting of the Council of National Coordinators on November 28-29, a meeting of experts of the CARICC member states is planned.

CARICC, as a permanent interstate body, was established under the auspices of the UN to coordinate the efforts of the competent authorities of the CARICC member states in countering transnational drug crime.

The participating states of CARICC are the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Council of National Coordinators of the CARICC Member States controls over the activities of the Center and determines the main directions of the Organization's activities. The Council of National Coordinators consists of the heads of the coordinating competent bodies of the CARICC member states and the Director of Center.
