CARICC staff held working meetings with representatives of the competent authorities of Mongolia on the issues of expanding cooperation within the framework of the regional operations "Reflex" and "Substitution"
As part of the regional operations "Reflex" and "Substitution", on November 11-13, 2022, CARICC specialists, together with the Mongolian liaison officer at CARICC in Ulaanbaatar, held working meetings with representatives of the competent authorities of Mongolia on expanding cooperation.
Responsible officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Guard Service of the MID, the Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia participated in the events organized on the basis of the Ulaanbaatar City Hall.
During the working meetings, the specialists of the Center presented information about the potential of CARICC as an international organization that coordinates the efforts of the member states at the regional level to combat drug trafficking, presented the results of the RO "Reflex-2021" and "Substitution. Phase 2”, as well as plans for the implementation of the next stages of these regional operations aimed at combating the spread of new psychoactive substances, psychotropic substances and other synthetic drugs, as well as identifying and suppressing the smuggling of precursors.
CARICC experts brought to the representatives of the competent authorities of Mongolia the results of the analysis of the emerging drug situation in the Central Asian region and the impact of the military-political situation in Afghanistan on it.
